Birds and Energy: A Discussion of the Impacts of Power Generation and Transmission on Birds and the Laws that Protect Them

Please join us for an in-person showing of this NAEP Webinar in Portland this Wednesday, December 6 at Noon at the Tetra Tech office on 1750 SW Harbor Way, Suite 1400. The webinar will provide an overview of the specific laws designed to protect birds, including the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act, and Endangered Species Act. Avian specialists will describe and discuss the unique impacts that power generation, such as wind and solar, and its transmission have on bird species and the different ways that the energy industry has sought to reduce avian impacts.
