    Associate Graphic and Web Designer

    The Associate Graphic and Web Designer supports all corporate and client creative design projects and campaigns.

    Role Responsibilities

    • Create print and design solutions from concept to completion. Day-to-day work includes: creative brainstorming and concepting, sketching, working out final designs, creating print and web ready files in design software and creating templates in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
    • Work independently but also take direction on projects from other designers, creative director, account managers and copywriter.
    • May assume a lead role in creating the visual and conceptual direction on small scale projects as needed.
    • Participates in brainstorming sessions and the development and execution of those ideas.
    • Maintain established brand guidelines while enhancing overall brands.
    • Manage portions of the design process and tools: font server, Basecamp templates, file archiving system etc.
    • Present ideas and concepts to internal marketing staff and vendors.

    Role Competencies

    • Bachelor’s degree in Web and/or Graphic Design or a related field.
    • Will accept 3 years work experience in creative development and workflow in creative agency setting in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
    • 0-2 years agency experience  with a bachelor’s degree
    • 3 years of creative agency experience without  a bachelors degree
    • Thorough understanding of design both in theory and in practice
    • Creative problem solving
    • Well organized
    • Detail-oriented
    • Self-motivated team player
    • Ability to manage a heavy project load under tight deadlines
    • Execute designs by analog and digital means
    • Intermediate proficiencies in:  HTML5, CSS3, CMS, SEO, W3C standards and responsive web design, Adobe Creative Cloud applications including After Effects, Fireworks, Flash, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign Acrobat and Microsoft Office.
    • Knowledge of Basecamp, streaming audio/video media, social networking applications and sustainable marketing practices are a plus.
