    Environmental Scientist/Toxicologist

    RIDOLFI is an award-winning environmental consulting firm seeking a mid-level toxicologist for our Seattle office. Qualified applicants will have exceptional organization and communication skills, relevant field experience, and the ability to balance several assignments and meet firm deadlines. This position will support an interdisciplinary team of scientists and engineers focused on environmental site assessments, contaminant cleanup, habitat restoration, and permitting.

    Candidate must hold an M.S. in toxicology, ecology, fisheries, environmental health, or a similar field and have experience with risk assessment or natural resource damage assessment. Experience with aquatic ecosystems, contaminated sediment sites and statistical evaluations is desired. Candidate must have an exceptional client service ethic, strong quantitative skills, attention to detail, and willingness to assist with a broad range of tasks to contribute to overall company success. The successful candidate will have excellent writing skills, computer proficiency, a desire for continuous learning, and the ability to work collaboratively in project teams with multiple deadlines.

    Knowledge and Experience Required

    • At least 10 years of experience working as an environmental scientist or toxicologist with progressively increasing responsibility.
    • Application of state and federal environmental regulations.
    • Developing and reviewing work plans and reports for environmental investigations.
    • Evaluating risks associated with hazardous substances in aquatic environments.
    • Statistical and technical evaluations of environmental data.
    • Working with state and federal cleanup sites.
    • Working on sediment cleanup issues.
    • Knowledge of standard operating procedures and field methods.
    • Demonstrated teamwork abilities that led to successful results.
    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
    • A valid driver’s license.
