April 20, 2021 - NWAEP Lunch and Learn: Removing Lower Snake River Dams - Dammed if you do, dammed if you don't

Dr. James Conca presents both sides of removing the Lower Snake River Dams in this highly informative presentation. The presentation, spurred by legislation by an Idaho congressperson seeking to end the salmon wars, reviews the benefits and drawbacks of taking such action. This discussion covers dams in general, their numbers, uses, and removal, and asks the question - what low carbon alternatives do we have to replace hydropower?
