The presentation will include a panel discussion and will describe actions being taken to implement the Order including the White House Council on Environmental Quality's (CEQ) initial list of actions published in the Federal Register as well as the Department of the Interior's Secretarial Order 3355 that requires firm page and time limits for Environmental Impact Statements. The panel will also share perspectives on streamlining and best practices that have proven to accelerate and improve the federal environmental review and decision-making process.
Moderating this panel is Shannon Stewart, NAEP Education Committee Chair, former National NEPA Lead for the Bureau of Land Management, and author of "NEPA as a Tool for Strategic Analysis and Decision Making" (Environmental Practice; Vol 16, No 4) an article highlighting the benefits of programmatic NEPA.
