"PDXNext" Portland Airport Renovations Tour
Thursday, January 12, 2023, 2:30-4:30pm
Free! • Only 15 Spots Available • Open to NWAEP Members Exclusively Until Jan 3!
NWAEP has arranged a free, private, in-person, behind-the-scenes tour for NWAEP Members of the forward-thinking "PDXNext" improvements happening at Portland International Airport.
We're excited to share this opportunity to learn more about the sustainability features of the new main terminal, one of PDXNext's showpieces. Over the next five years, PDXNext's transformative projects will bring more Pacific Northwest-inspired architecture, local restaurants and shops, inclusive design, and carbon footprint-reducing technology to Portland International Airport. Its $2 billion investment will include new spaces optimized for sustainability, earthquake resilience, and wellbeing.
15 lucky participants will receive a personalized, behind-the-scenes tour led by the project delivery and environmental team at PDXNext/Port of Portland. This is a one-of-a-kind event — have your questions ready, and don't forget your selfie stick!
Because there's only room for 15 people on the tour, we're giving NWAEP Members a head start: registration is currently open only to NWAEP members.
Any remaining spots will open to the general public on January 3, 2023.
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, so don't delay — sign up today!
(Non-members: if you want to secure your spot on the tour, might we suggest that you become a member?)
Instructions about meeting location, parking, security, and other tour logistics will be provided to event registrants after registrant list has been finalized.
Questions may be directed to board members Kim Wetzel or Jason Medema.
