Pierce Conservation District is excited to share that we are hiring a Water Quality Project Manager to primarily be working on Green Stormwater projects on private property.

Nature & Purpose of the Position

The Green Stormwater Project Manager position will primarily be designing residential green stormwater projects and working with cooperators (residents, businesses, institutions, etc.) to install your design. The Green Stormwater Project Manager will also be managing contractors and/or crews in building projects.  Interest in our programming is growing and this is a new position to meet this demand.  Ideal candidates will be self-starters with a creative design sensibility. We are looking for people with a proactive communication style, an eagerness to learn, and the desire to progress in their career. Responsibilities will be diverse as Pierce Conservation District adapts programming to stay relevant to the communities we serve. 

The Green Stormwater Project Manager must approach their work with a community-first ethic, as we see our cooperators as people we are in relationship with as we co-design projects with them.  We are looking for a professional who can work cooperatively and professionally with partners and members of the public; be physically able to negotiate all types of terrain and weather conditions; and be self-directed and follow through on assignments.  To be successful in this role one must be able to coordinate several projects in different stages of the project lifecycle and be willing to work both traditional and community hours.
